Mastering engineer Gabriel Wallach graduated with honors at the prestigious Berklee College of Music and has worked in recording studios in Boston and Los Angeles, where he has amassed real-world knowledge and experience in the art of recording and manipulating recorded music.
Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, Gabriel has loved music for as long as he can remember. He began playing guitar in bands as a teenager but he decided early on that the technical side of music – and specifically the challenges of the mastering stage in the quest for optimum sound – was his calling.
He combines his studio experience with a broad understanding of musical styles and an uncompromising passion for detail. Gabriel feels that there are no language barriers in music. He has applied his skills to many genres – from the traditional jazz and electronica to cutting edge pop, hip-hop, and rock.
Among his credits are Jorge Celedón's album "Son... Para El Mundo" which won a Latin Grammy in 2007 as well the live album "Intimamente" by Intocable that won a Grammy in 2005 and also a string of albums with Grammy and Latin Grammy nominations. He has mastered albums, singles and/or compilations for Motley Crue, Yung Berg, Reik, Dave Koz, Richard Marx, Juan Gabriel, Akwid, Gian Marco, Kings Of Convenience, Aleks Syntek, Jesus Adrian Romero, – to name just a few. |
